Unseen recognizes supported cards on desktop www.youtube.com. It hides videos that reach your watching threshold and blurs unfinished thumbnails with a percentage label.
Set it up
- Install Unseen, then reload YouTube.
- Watch a supported standard video or a Short. Skipped portions and feed previews do not count as playback.
- Return to a feed containing that video. Your recorded progress determines whether it stays visible, is blurred or is hidden.
The extension begins recording at installation. It does not import your YouTube account history. See how watched coverage is calculated.
Choose what to do with Shorts
Watched Shorts can be filtered individually, just like standard videos. If you prefer fewer Shorts in your feed, turn on Hide Shorts in Settings to hide recognized Shorts modules altogether.
Temporarily showing hidden cards or pausing filtering lets you bring those cards back into view.
Filter creators and titles
Open Settings, select YouTube under Site rules and add a channel handle or supported channel link to block a creator. You can also block a creator directly from a recognized card’s menu.
Add title keywords for topics you want to skip. YouTube rules are separate from Pornhub rules, so a keyword added here only applies to YouTube.
Supported playback
Standard desktop video pages and YouTube Shorts are supported. Embedded players, live streams, other YouTube hosts and private browsing are outside this release’s scope. Website layout changes can affect card recognition; use the troubleshooting guide if controls disappear.
